About Us

Jon Rosen

Is presently in solo practice at the Rosen Law Firm after serving 22 years with the eight-lawyer labor and employment law firm of Frank Rosen Freed Roberts LLP and its predecessor Frank and Rosen. After graduating from St. John’s University School of Law in 1968, he served as a staff attorney for the Federal Aviation Administration for three years and then joined the legal staff of the Air Line Pilots Association for which he worked his way from New York to California by way of Chicago representing pilots and flight attendants and their unions in collective bargaining, arbitration and litigation. He opened his first solo practice in Seattle in 1977. Jon’s practice is limited to representing labor organizations and individuals over a broad range of labor and employment law issues. Additionally, he will occasionally advise and represent smaller employers confronted with employment law issues.

He has successfully represented hundreds of victims of unlawful employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation. He has also defended several labor unions in these types of cases. Two harassment training videos featuring Jon, produced and distributed by Quality Media ResourcesTM, have been required viewing for hundreds of thousands of employees and managers in the United States and abroad.

Jon has chaired several committees and subcommittees of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section including its ADR Committee. He has been a member since 1977, and has chaired the Pacific Coast Labor and Employment Law Conference Planning Committee (1984) and the King County Bar Association Labor & Employment Section (1988).

Jon has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 1987. He was one of the first members of the National Employment Lawyers Association and helped found NELA’s Washington State chapter. He is increasingly asked to serve as a mediator of employment disputes and is a frequent presenter at labor and employment law seminars and programs in Seattle and around the country. He is a past chair of the Labor and Employment Committee of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association.

Jon has been an advisor and member of the Personnel Committee of Temple De Hirsch Sinai since 1987 and was on its Board of Trustees from 1992 – 2005. He served as President from 2001-2003. He also serves as the Northwest Region Chair on the Commission on Outreach and Synagogue Community of the Union for Reform Judaism. Jon chaired the Friends of 4th and Ward Park which financed and constructed in conjunction with the City of Seattle a much needed urban park facility on the south slope of Queen Anne near where he resides with his wife Patricia. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Music of Remembrance, a not-for-profit organization.

Jon Rosen’s biography appears in Marquis’ Who’s Who In America and Who’s Who in American Law. He has been regularly recognized in Seattle Magazine and Washington Law and Politics as one of Seattle’s “Super Lawyers.” He is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and of the American Bar Foundation.

Keridan Cole

Began her legal career over twenty years ago with the law firm of Frank and Rosen. Keridan relocated to Alaska where she worked in the import/export industry. Upon her return to the Seattle area she resumed her career in the legal field, including working for several years at one of the larger law firms in the Seattle area. Keridan rejoined Jon Rosen and Steve Frank at the law firm of Frank Rosen Freed Roberts in 1998 and subsequently rejoined Jon Rosen in his solo practice, The Rosen Law Firm, in 2004.
